Rami’s Paper

When Rami was a student in his first year of college, he wrote an essay titled “The Psycho Clone”, which was equal parts humor and science fiction for the average reader, but was a serious submission his Artificial Intelligence Postgraduate Master‘s Program in which he predicts a psychological problem with human clones related to the Idea of Self that, in 1989, seemed a far away problem. However, not only does Rami predict the problem accurately, he provides the reasoning and the solution. The paper was forgotten, he finished his degree, and went out into the world to work for the gaming industry. 15 years after the submission, Rami was in middle management with a wife, family plans, and unrealized dreams, when he gets a call from a military funded research and development group.
